  • 03-28-2008 – Request from Amy Willis
Please pray for Jose Perez' father, Jose Perez Sr., who had an accident earlier this week. The details aren't clear but as he was playing with the boys, Jose took a serious fall. He is at Spohn Memorial, I believe, in ICU with a fractured skull & serious bleeding in his brain. Veronica is waiting to hear from the doctor. We pray it is not as serious as it might seem at the moment. Please join us in praying for Jose & his family.
  • 03-28-2008 – Request from Cindy Petri
Please pray for my sister, Patty Barnes, who was diagnosed with stomach cancer last week and has started chemotherapy. She is a believer and has released this disease into God's hands to do with as He wishes. The doctors have given her a 75% chance of beating this cancer and her outlook is good. Please pray for her family as they try to assist her through this time and that many will be saved through her witness of her relationship with Christ. I pray that God will use this circumstance to draw others to Him and that Patty's relationship with her husband, Joe, will be strengthened. Patty is self-employed and lives on minimal income. She will not be able to work for a while so please pray that God will provide for her every need.

Also, my uncle, Ken Sanders, passed away Tuesday. Please pray for the family as they deal with the loss and for the pending funeral service, that it will be evangelistic in reaching the unsaved family members. Pray especially for Nina Page, his sister, who is taking his death especially hard. Ken was her last sibling and brother and the third one to die in a little over a year. My father died just last August.
  • 03-28-2008 – Request from Julie Wright
Thank you all for your concerns and prayers about my Dad's cancer. He is back in the hospital with complications from blood clots in his legs, malnutrition, and now failing kidney function. They are giving him blood and attempting to stabilize him just to release him. They've told him he could get into outpatient rehab or go home and call Hospice. My Mom is afraid to have him home, and incapable of caring for him, though that's what he really wants. Please pray for wisdom, patience, love, and God's sustaining peace throughout these next days as he moves to either a nursing home or goes home. A case worker from the hospital will come to his room tomorrow morning between 9 and 10am to discuss the options & what they mean with him, my mom & my sister. I still don't think he believes he is at the end. It is so hard to see him longing to go home, and not being able to imagine how they can financially get the 24-hr care he needs there. I'll be going back to Arkansas to be with them all and assist in his transition if the doctors decide it is time. We all (Dad especially) glory in the knowledge that there are so many praying. Prayer has been a healing factor this whole time for all of us. Continue to pray for Dad's walk with God.
  • 03-26-2008 – Pray for Larry Stallsmith
Please continue to pray for Larry Stallsmith. The doctor will be replacing all of the ascending aorta up into the carotids and possibly replace the artificial heart valve. The surgery is Thursday but we don't know the time…early morning or mid-morning. Larry might go in the hospital tomorrow so they can monitor his heart catheter.
  • 01-24-2008 – Request from Bobbie Tilley
Please pray for my uncle Grady, who was hospitalized with a serious infection in his leg. He is a diabetic so there is concern the leg may have to be amputated if it doesn't respond to the antibiotics.
  • 01-21-2008 – Prayer for Baby Samuel
Please pray for Gary & Tracy Eddins, they are in the process of adopting a baby that was born around Christmas Eve. His name is Samuel. Last night they were attending a mandatory meeting with the birth parents. While there the homeless birth parents kidnapped the baby, taking him out without his blanket, coat or bottle. The police are involved and Gary and Tracy are considered Samuel’s legal guardians. CPS is also involved. Please be in prayer that the baby is found unharmed. If you see a homeless couple with a baby, please report it to the police. Thank you very much.
  • 01-21-2008 – Request from Kim Gray
Kim Gray’s dad recently had back surgery and the doctors had to go back in. The procedure took 11 hours. He's in ICU and the family is concerned about his recovery. Kim is asking everyone to please pray.
  • 01-21-2008 – Update on little Amanda's surgery
The last word we have was that the surgery went well, although there had been a few more complications than the doctors expected. But Amanda is doing well and beginning the recovery. Please pray it will go smoothly and quickly.
