There will be three age groups:
- Rookies 7 - 8
- Veterans 9 - 11
- Pros 12 - 16

What To Expect
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches in basketball.
Instruction by Coach Boyce Honea: Coach Honea has coached basketball for 40 years. He recently retired as the Head Coach of Houston Milby High School, where in 30 years as the Head Coach, he guided Milby to 739 victories, 20 State Playoffs, 8 Regional Tournaments and 2 State Tournaments. Coach Honea has had good success in preparing his players for college as 71 of his players have received colleg scholarships. Coach Honea always teaches his players to keep their priorities straight and put God first in their life. |
Types of Instruction
Instruction will be given in all phases of basketball with special emphasis on individual fundamentals – both offensive and defensive, plus developing a "winning attitude". There is 1 coach per 10 - 11 players.
There will be a daily prayer and a huddle (short Bible study).
There will be Free Throw and Lay-Up Competitions as well as Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player and Huddle awards given for each age group. |
Notes
Enrollment is limited to the first 55 registrants.
Each camper will receive an award.
T-shirts will be given to all participants and an end of the week game will highlight the camp.
Participants are to come dressed to play in gym shorts, t-shirts and basketball shoes. Bring a sack lunch every day. Drinks will be provided. |
