ENGAGING

The third part of the E-System is ENGAGING our community. This is done by serving and meeting the needs of those around us as well as sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
Below is a list of the ministries we are involved with throughout the community.
Yorktown Christian Academy - Is a Christian school for students from Pre-K through 8th grade. Their mission is to equip students to become Christ-centered servant leaders in our community and around the world.
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) - MOPS is a place of Christian fellowship for moms with children that are a day old up to children in kindergarten. Expecting moms are welcome as well. MOPS meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 9:15-11:30am in the Deck of the Children’s Building.
Backpack Ministry - This past summer, we joined other churches around the community in providing 5,000 backpacks for low income children. Each backpack was filled with the school supplies they would need for the school year. Yorktown was able to purchase, supply, and stuff 550 backpacks.
Champions for Life - This is a ministry designed to reach inmates for Christ.
Christian Family Center - This is a food distribution center aligned with Good News Baptist Church. Through this ministry, we were able to help 180 families have plenty of food for Thanksgiving and Christmas this past holiday season.
