EXTENDING



The fourth component of the E-System is EXTENDING the kingdom. This is done by going on or investing in global missions, and through church planting.

Below is a list of missions and church plants Yorktown is involved in.

Partner Church in Bolivia - Through Compassion International, we have been able to partner with Iglesia Bautista Vida Nueva in El Torno, Bolivia. This partnership has allowed our students to go to Bolivia to help in a construction project and minister to a retirement home and child development center. There will be an adult mission trip to Bolivia this summer. Information on how to join this trip is coming soon. Mexico - Though conflict in Mexico has made it difficult for mission trips into Mexico, we have been fortunate enough to have Raul Hernandez partner with our church. Raul has an incredible network of Mexican pastors who are touching hundreds of lives. We have been able to give financially to these pastors as well as occasionally sending a small group of members into Mexico to deliver supplies.

Driscoll Community Church - Our Los Sembradores ABF class has invested over a year rescuing and refreshing this church to where it has a vibrant presence in the Driscoll community.

Faith Baptist Missions International - With facilities throughout the Yucatan area, FBM is a ministry that provides academically accredited Christian theological education for Mexican nationals to be trained as pastors and sent back into the field.

The Cooperative Program of the SBC - Through our budgeted contributions to this cooperative effort, we help support 6 Southern Baptist seminaries as well as missionaries around the state, nation and the world.

The Corpus Christi Baptist Association - This is our local baptist cooperative.

Zephyr Baptist Encampment - An encampment up near Mathis where many have come to know Christ or be called into Christian service.
